Richard Gu

Vice President

Richard Gu is a Vice President at March Capital, where he provides support to existing portfolio companies and evaluates potential new investments at the intersection of data and biological sciences.

Born in Ann Arbor, Richard spent the first six years of his life in Shanghai before returning to Michigan to attend the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan (BBA; minor in Chinese). His prior experience in investment banking at Houlihan Lokey and private equity at Sverica Capital and Rockbridge Growth Equity gave Richard a strong empirical and analytical foundation in the digital media, e-commerce, and software sectors.
