Solomon is a Partner at March Capital, where he leads investments in AI applications, vertical software and fintech. He works across all touch points of the investment process, including sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support. Solomon currently holds board positions at March portfolio companies Extend, Gr4vy, & Overjet and is a member of Kauffman Fellows (Class 28).
Born in Ethiopia and raised outside of Washington, D.C., Solomon is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.S., Commerce). Before joining March, Solomon was a Principal at Tusk Venture Partners, investing in early-stage technology companies and began his career at Lazard.
Solomon is continually inspired by the entrepreneurs he works with at March. Every time he meets a founder for the first time, Solomon enjoys getting to know the new company that may improve people’s lives, create new markets, or even fundamentally change the world. Solomon was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 for Venture Capital in 2021 and was recognized on Business Insider’s 2022 Rising Stars list. Outside of March, Solomon is a member of the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle. He serves on the Board of BLCK VC, an organization formed to connect, to empower, and to advance black venture capitalists, and is also on the McIntire School of Commerce’s Young Alumni Board at UVA.
When not in the office, Solomon is an outdoor enthusiast from skiing, hiking, to scuba diving. A committed runner, he participates in a marathon yearly—the New York City Marathon is his favorite.
